Ravinia Group Events Proposal

During the summer of 2016 I had the wonderful opportunity to intern with Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Illinois. Working in Group Events was eye opening and I was inspired to enhance our department's impact. As a result, I created a possible new website which I pitched to Ravinia's lead in web design.

ICore Case Company Sample Website

As a component of my Kelley School of Business at Indiana University ICore curriculum, I was instructed to develop a business plan and functional website for a fictional company alongside my five team members. Below is a portion of our final case deliverable.

...As customers scroll down the page, they will reach the Red’s Foods mission statement, basic contact information for your main facilities, and an image of your product label...

"Your website will open to a crisp homepage. An up-close image of your spicy sauce will set the background scene, and the words, “Neo-Southern Homemade Barbecue Sauce. Crafted with Soul,” will be displayed along with the new logo we designed...

...This will lead into a section with two tabs. The “Our Sauce” tab will allow customers to purchase a bottle or case of the spicy sauce directly from the site. The “Store Locations” tab will indicate suggested retail locations to purchase the product, complete with an interactive Google Map for any customers who need directions...

...This Google Map will also be embedded with a link. Upon clicking the map, customers will be directed to Google information about Red’s retailers as well as general Gatlinburg visiting and traveling tips...

...We decided to break up the information on the website with a slideshow gallery of Red’s spicy sauce and beautiful Gatlinburg landscapes. This gallery section is important because it will further engage your customers, and encourage them to visualize the history and homeland of their beloved sauce...

...As customers continue to scroll, they will reach a section containing suggested recipes, all of which feature your neo-southern sauce...

...They will then arrive at information regarding the upcoming #RedsFoods contest, The Sauce Launch Party, and Blue Ribbon Barbecue marketing events. Including recipe suggestions and fun events on the website are yet another way Red’s Foods will create meaningful experiences for consumers, resulting in loyal and lasting relationships...

...Finally, as customers reach the website’s endpoint, they will be able to submit a message to Red’s Foods using a direct email form. They will also be directed to each of the company’s social media platforms by clicking on their respective logos in the footer...

...In terms of mechanics, the site will be completely responsive and mobile friendly. Each page will be connected on an infinity scroll, and the navigation header will move with the screen, allowing the user to jump over sections. Our goal was to make this website as user-friendly as possible so customers will always have a positive experience with Red’s Foods online outlet...

...Overall, Red’s Foods’ website will combine the physical product and social media presence on one cohesive interface. Scrolling through the site will be an experience in itself, consistent with the open and welcoming atmosphere you aim for, Kerri. By using playful, cheery wording and displaying rustic photography of Red’s barbecue sauce topped off with the picturesque Smoky Mountains, this website will fit perfectly with your “home” theme and shabby-chic design aesthetic."
